My Favorite Place In Australia….

My favourite place in Australia would have to be the Gold Coast in Queensland. My family and I went on a holiday there for ten days in November last year. It was a big thing for me because we had never real holiday before. It is really nice there, it can get a bit hot but the tourist attractions and the beautiful beaches make up for it. I believe the theme parks are one of the best things about Queensland, I had so much fun I stayed at each one for a whole day
Food

Some of my favourite foods that are part of Australian culture would have to be lamingtons, vegemite and meat pies. A lot of people in Australia have barbecues during summer even though it is hot it just seems to be what people do. I wouldn’t really know what kind of native foods that are still eaten in Australia, all I know is that I don’t eat any of it Ha-ha.
Terrorism

We have never had terrorist attacks in Australia, we are very lucky that we are in a safe country. There have been some threats against Australia but none of them have been followed through with or police here have caught the people suspetcted of planning the terrorist attacks. There are a few people who are now worried about terrorism because of the situation over in Bali. Everyone hopes that nothing bad comes from this situation. The reason for this worry is because 88 Australians where killed in the Bali bombings 2002, the reason there where so many Australians killed is because Bali is a popular holiday destination for Australians. We are now warned not to visit Bali just in case there is a repeat attack that is for some sort of revenge.

What I Did In The School Holidays
Posted on October 12th, 2008 at 8:52 pm by kezza and
I was lucky enough to have three weeks holidays instead of two, this is because I didn’t go to the last week of school. i didnt go because I moved form Numurkah to Koroit. So most of my holidays were spent unpacking, visiting my family and getting everything organised before I started at my new school for term 4.
We didn’t buy a house we are just renting it, but it is in the main street so that’s just a bonus for me. Hopefully this means that I can get a job at one of the shops that is nearby. The house we are in now is simular to the one we lived in at Numurkah. The only thing I don’t really like about it is the fact that it has way to many doorways. This is because it is an old house which has had rooms bulit on. Apart from that it is pretty good, and I think I am going to enjoy living here.
About Me
Posted on October 12th, 2008 at 8:39 pm by kezza and
My name is Kelly Lucas I am 16. I live in Koroit, which is in Australia. I have recently moved here from Numurkah (which is also in Australia), where I went to Numurkah Secondary College. I live with my mother and my two sisters who are 18 and 15.
Because I have recently moved I am doing the end of year 10 at a new school. So now I am at Hawkesdale P-12 College. So far the school is really nice and I have made some good friends. It hasn’t been a real shock for me moving because all of my family lives in this area, but i still miss my good mates from Numurkah.
